Re: Changes to City of Olive Branch Utility Billing

Dear Utility Customer:
As of February 19, 2025, the City of Olive Branch has updated their billing software provider. This new online billing website has changed and all customers will have to set up a new online account. All customers must also set up all automatic payments and any scheduled payments. All you need is a valid email address. You can connect many utility accounts to that one login account for your convenience. You can also sign up for AutoPay, schedule a payment, or on the Contact preferences tab sign up for e-billing to have your bills emailed to you.

How do I pay my portal: Utility Customers have multiple ways to pay. Customer can pay online by visiting www.obms.us/payments. You can pay by phone by calling 662-932-3755. You may continue to pay your utility bill during business hours inside City Hall at the Utility Department (#133) or by using the drive-thru window located on the North side of City Hall. After-hour payments can be made by mail or by using the Utility drop-box located at City Hall.

Can I still use the app to pay my bill: By changing our billing software provider, the “Pay It” app is no longer valid for Olive Branch Utility Customers.

How to find your Account number and Customer number: You'll need these two numbers to use our service. On a previous bill, find the account number (example: 12345-67890). Your Account number is the digits BEFORE THE DASH in the Account Number on your bill. Your Customer number is the digits AFTER THE DASH in the Account Number on your bill.

Will I still get my bill by mail: Yes. A bill will continued to be mailed. If you would would like to update your contact preferences, opt-in for e-Billing (electronic copies), or other notifications, you may do so at www.obms.us/payments.

A word about fees: Paying with credit/debit card or e-check will incur a service fee in addition to the paid amount. By Mississippi law, the City of Olive Branch must pass these charges to the customer. In-person payment by cash, check, or money order carries no fee.
e-Checks: $1.95 per transaction (online only)
Credit or Debit card: $2.50 or 3.75% of the bill amount, whichever is larger (online, phone, or in-person)
IVR fee: Using our IVR pay-by-phone system incurs an additional charge of $1.00 (phone only)

For new utility requests: please visit the Utility Billing office during regular office hours. New utility requests are not available online.
