The City of Olive Branch Mayor and Board of Aldermen will continue to provide curbside rubbish and limb removal with no charge of service to residents up to one truckload.
In an effort to keep taxes low, prevent abuse, and maintain a high quality of service, the City of Olive Branch will be implementing a fee for rubbish piles that are more than one truckload (more than 600 cubic feet) for residents. This only applies to those who live within the City Limits of Olive Branch; not to those who live in the unincorporated areas of DeSoto County. This change will go into effect starting October 1, 2023.
Commercial business and tree services will continue to be responsible for hauling away their own rubbish material. Residents with Rubbish or tree limbs that result in multiple truckloads will receive an invoice notice from Public Works. Once invoices have been paid, Public Works will return to collect the remaining roadside rubbish and tree limbs.
