A new ordinance regarding the discharge of fireworks was adopted by Mayor Ken Adams and the Board of Aldermen in October of 2024. Discharging, shooting, and/or igniting fireworks shall be allowed ONLY on the following dates and times:
- JULY 2-5, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm
- DECEMBER 23-26, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm
- DECEMBER 30, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm
- DECEMBER 31, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 12:15 am
- JANUARY 1- 2, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm
Please be advised that the new law will be strictly enforced by the City of Olive Branch Police Department. The discharging, shooting, and/or igniting of fireworks within the City limits of Olive Branch is prohibited outside of these dates and/or times. Any individual violating this provision shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $100.00 for each occurrence.
