The City of Olive Branch and Olive Branch Fire Department is pleased to announce the start of a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). The program will teach the participants how to respond when a disaster strikes. Students will also learn CPR/First aid, search and rescue, and more. The class will be 6 to 8 weeks for two nights a week, and these classes will range from 2 to 3 hours. There will also be annual training requirements to maintain your Olive Branch CERT team position.
There will be an application process and a background check, and 20 students will be selected for the first class. We anticipate many applicants, so don't hesitate to apply. If you do not get chosen for the first class, we will have more throughout the year.
